On June 26, 2026, Savanna and Anthony got married in Santa Barbara, and I'm so grateful I got to film it. What I loved most about their day was how sure they were of each other. You could see it in every moment that they were ready to keep building their lives together.
They celebrated at Casa Calma, a private 2.2-acre estate in Santa Barbara's San Roque neighborhood. It's surrounded by nature, has views out to the ocean, and sits just a short walk from a hiking trail. Between the main house, the guest casita, the geodome, the glamping tent, and the Airstream, there was room for everyone to settle in together. Casa Calma means "calm house," and the name fits. It felt peaceful and private, like a home made for slowing down with the people you love most.
The morning started calmly, with the girls getting ready upstairs and the groomsmen downstairs enjoying each other's company. When everyone was ready, we drove to a hidden lookout in Summerland that has always been special to Savanna and Anthony. That's where they had their first look and shared their private vows. It ended up being the calmest part of the day, a chance for the two of them to slow down and just be in the moment together. I loved that they chose a place that meant so much to them.
The Courthouse & Ceremony
From there, we went to the Santa Barbara Courthouse for bridal party photos, and we found such a wonderful spot. The overcast sky made everything feel soft, dreamy, and romantic. Afterwards, we went inside with Savanna and Anthony and found the most gorgeous staircase. The shot of them sitting together on those steps might be my favorite of the whole film.
Back at Casa Calma, we took a few family photos before it was time for the ceremony. They said "I do" on a beautiful green lawn in front of the house, and afterwards you could see how overjoyed they both were. We snuck away for a few sweet portraits, and then they joined their guests at cocktail hour to mingle and enjoy everyone who came to celebrate them.
Dinner was a delicious spread served on a long wooden table, followed by speeches that were ones to remember. One of the groomsmen had everyone laughing so hard. Then came the cake cutting. Their cake was so whimsical, and since Savanna is a Disney fan, it fit her perfectly. It looked like something straight out of a fairytale.
The Reception
As the sun went down, we went out for golden hour portraits. The moon was so beautiful that night, and getting to capture it on Super 8 film was really special for me. Savanna then changed into her second look, the cutest short cocktail dress with a corset back, and they spent the rest of the night partying with their guests. Friends crowded into the photo booth, and a late-night Taco Bell delivery closed out the evening perfectly.
Savanna and Anthony's day was so thoughtfully planned. What I'll remember most is that they took the time for private vows in a place that meant the most to them. Thank you both for letting me be a part of it.
